Memorization Tips
Once you have a solid set of notes (check out the note-taking series for help with this), you need to prepare for college exams by working on these memorization tips.
Some understanding is gained through practice and hands-on work. Usually paired with the understanding of concepts are key facts that simply need to be memorized. The key to mastering memorization is to:
- Keep a running list of what you need to memorize,
- Schedule time every single day to work on memorization. You have to have the daily repetition if you want new facts to stick in your short-term memory.
- Vary your memorization tips and strategies. If you use only one strategy it will be less effective.
